Bat Tree Spirit Badge

Bat Tree Spirit Badge

Pine branches whisper, snow falls softly, and somehow the bats have taken over the Christmas tree. The Bat Tree Spirit Badge celebrates holiday mystery, old friendships, shared secrets, and Monster Rangers gathering together in the dark.

Ranger Fact: A perfectly ordinary holiday tree has ornaments. A proper Monster Rangers holiday tree has bats and a few unanswered questions.

Point Value: Worth 10 Glory Points toward your Monster Rangers badge collection.

HOW TO EARN THIS BADGE

Choose one:

  • Add a handmade bat ornament to a holiday tree, branch, wreath, or other seasonal greenery.
  • Gather with another Ranger for a winter drink and trade one favorite memory from a past Monster Rangers adventure.
  • Decorate a small pine branch in vintage holiday fashion, then hide one tiny bat somewhere among the needles.

Jr. Monster Rangers

Choose one:

  • Make a paper bat ornament and hang it on a tree or winter branch with a grown-up.
  • Create a tiny holiday tree for bats using a twig, paper decorations, and at least one secret hiding place.
  • Take a grown-up-supervised winter walk and look for evergreen trees, bare branches, and places where a sleepy bat could hide.

Secret Power (for the Monster Rangers RPG)

“Bats in the Branches” — Once per session, a flutter from above warns you that something nearby is not quite right. Ask the Guide for a small clue about a hidden danger, secret, or unexpected visitor.
