Mechachimp Spirit Badge

Mechachimp Spirit Badge

Dr. Frankenstone built Mitch the mechanical chimp to mix potions and dissect specimens. Then the radio came on and Mitch started dancing. One thing led to another, the lab gained a stage, and the mechanical assistant became an entertainer instead.

Ranger Fact: When your laboratory machine develops rhythm, the correct response is to turn up the radio and reconsider its career path.

Point Value: Worth 20 Glory Points toward your Monster Rangers badge collection.

HOW TO EARN THIS BADGE

Choose one:

  • Build a small mechanical, jointed, or moving monkey figure from safe craft materials and give it one dance move.
  • Create a three-song playlist from wildly different genres and invent a different movement style for each one.
  • Teach another Ranger a short, ridiculous dance inspired by a machine trying very hard to understand music.

Jr. Monster Rangers

Choose one:

  • Make a paper or cardboard mechanical chimp with movable arms or legs.
  • Dance to three different kinds of music and change your robot moves for each song.
  • With a grown-up, build a tiny stage for Mitch and perform a ten-second mechanical chimp show.

Secret Power (for the Monster Rangers RPG)

“Unexpected Rhythm” — Once per session, turn an awkward or tense moment into a brief distraction through music, movement, or performance. It creates an opening, not a complete escape.
