Cloud Spirit Badge

Look up, but perhaps not for too long. The Cloud Spirit Badge remembers the Lost Gods that haunt the sky as drifting wisps of moisture and occasionally meddle with the weather.

Levels: There is just one level of the Cloud Spirit Badge.

Ranger Fact: Spirit Clouds are fairly rare in Arizona and more commonly seen elsewhere. Never stare at them, which is sound advice for both supernatural clouds and the Sun.

Point Value: Worth 10 Glory Points toward your Monster Rangers badge collection.

HOW TO EARN THIS BADGE

Choose one:

  • Spend fifteen minutes identifying and sketching the different clouds overhead.
  • Keep a simple three-day weather log and compare what the clouds seem to be doing.
  • Photograph one cloud that looks suspiciously like something else and give the resulting creature a sensible name.

Jr. Monster Rangers

Choose one:

  • With a grown-up, lie back somewhere safe and find three shapes hiding in the clouds.
  • Learn the names of three basic cloud types.
  • Draw a cloud that has clearly become tired of being a cloud and chosen another profession.

Secret Power (for the Monster Rangers RPG)

“Whisper of the Lost Sky” — Once per session, get a useful hint about the immediate weather or changing conditions around you. Clouds remain vague and somewhat dramatic.
